Couchsurfing refers to the practice of moving from onefriend's house to another, sleeping in whatever spare space isavailable, floor or couch, generally staying a few days beforemoving on to the next house.

　　“沙发冲浪”指的是不断地从一个朋友的家搬到另一个朋友的家，利用朋友家地板或沙发之类的空闲位置过夜，通常待上几天就换地方。

　　The couchsurfing website was launched in the United States in 2004. It now has over six millionmembers from more than 100,000 cities. The website provides a platform for members to "surf"on couches by staying as a guest at a host's home, host travelers, or join an event. Most of itsregistered members are aged 20 to 30. In China, the culture of couchsurfing is growing as moreyoung people seek adventure on a shoestring.
