　　解析：may(或might更婉转) as well do sth.，表示“还是…好，还不如”，第二个as则表示“与…对比之下”。

　　除了may as well do这种用法，as well和as well as还经常表示“也”，其中as well as后必须加另一对象，as well则不用。比如：

　　But there are other opinions as well.也有其他的看法。

　　A student should learn as well as think.学生学习的同时也要思考。
