Seven years after the founder of Netease, one of China’s leading Internet and online game service providers, announced that he would raise and sell "green" pigs, the Netease pigs have finally debuted online.

　　在网易(中国领先互联网和网游运营商之一)创始人宣布将喂养、销售“绿色”猪7年之后，网易猪终于在网上和人们见面了。

　　On Nov. 27, three black pigs were auctioned on a Netease shopping website, each one assigned a starting price of 1 RMB. The current price for each pig has already exceeded 100,000 RMB, with bidding set to continue until Nov. 30.

　　11月27日，网易购物网站拍卖了3头黑猪，每头猪起拍价1元人民币。目前每头猪的出价都已经超过了10万元人民币，而竞价将一直持续到11月30日。

　　Netease founder Ding Lei said that the company’s pig farms will strive to become the first in China to offer a fully transparent cultivation process. In the future, Netease will webcast the pig-raising process, with the aim of reassuring consumers in a sector plagued with serious food safety problems.

　　据网易创始人丁磊表示说，该公司的养猪场将力争成为中国第一家养殖过程全透明的养猪场。在未来，网易将直播养猪过程，从而在深受严重食品安全问题困扰的背景下让消费者们放心。

　　At present, the price for black pig meat is 40 to 60 RMB per kilogram. At the recently-concluded Third Internet Conference, Ding revealed that 20,000 pigs raised at Netease farms will go on sale in December. Industry insiders believe this first auction is intended as a rehearsal for the forthcoming online sale of Netease pigs.

　　目前黑猪的市场价格为每公斤40到60元人民币。在最近刚刚结束的第三届互联网大会上，丁磊宣布网易猪场养殖的2万头猪将在12月上市销售。业内人士分析认为，第一次拍卖是为即将到来的网易猪网上销售的一次彩排。
