　　The Singing Bone

　　会唱歌的白骨

　　There was a land that had a big concern, because of a wild boar that was digging up the fieldbiting people and killing them.

　　从前有个国家来了一头野猪。 它践踏耕地、咬杀牲畜，还用尖利的獠牙咬人，人们为此痛苦不堪。

　　"This is a terrible thing. Everyday the people are shaking in fear." The king walked around theroom here and there, everyday. "I will give a big reward for the person who catches the boar." However, the boar had such a big body and was so wild that no one dared to go near it.

　　国王每天都在房间来回地踱步“这真是太可怕了。人们每天都生活在恐惧中。”“要是有人能捉住野猪我会给大大地奖赏他。”但是，野猪体型庞大，又如此凶猛没有人敢靠近。

　　At the same time, the King announced that whoever caught the boar would marry hisdaughter. Slowly people began to gather.

　　就在这时，国王宣布，要是谁抓住了野猪就把公主嫁给他。渐渐的人们开始跃跃欲试。

　　Even two poor brothers were willing to try this dangerous job. The sneaky and money makingolder brother said, "I will catch it and marry the princess." The kind and friendly youngerbrother said, "If I can get rid of the people's worry, then I will try."

　　愿意涉险的人还有两名一贫如洗的兄弟俩。狡猾的哥哥说，“我会抓住那头野猪然后迎娶公主。”善良的弟弟说，“要是能让人们不再生活在恐惧之中，我愿意一试。”

　　The two brothers went their separate ways to catch the boar. "Brother, be careful!" Theyounger brother was concerned for his older brother. However, the older brother did not evenlisten and went into the forest.

　　于是，兄弟俩分头抓野猪。“哥哥，要小心点!”弟弟很担心哥哥。然而，哥哥却听不进去，径直走进了森林。

　　The younger brother did not go far. When he found a dwarf who's beard was caught in a treebranch. "Please help me. I can't get up, because my beard is stuck." The younger brotherquickly brought down the dwarf from the tree.

　　弟弟没有走太远。突然他发现一个胡子被树枝揪住的小矮人。小矮人说道“请帮帮我。我起不来了，我的胡子被卡住了，”弟弟很快将小矮人从从树上救下来。

　　"Thank you. You have truly a kind heart. Take this net. When the boar appears, throw it at himright away." The younger brother thanked the dwarf. He carried the net and walked into theforest looking for the boar.

　　“谢谢你。你真是个心地善良的人。带上这个网吧。野猪出现时，立刻扔在它身上，”弟弟再三感谢。之后便带着网进森林里寻找野猪了。

　　"Roar!" When the boar saw the younger brother, it ran to him with great power. The youngerbrother threw the net that was on his shoulder, at the boar.

　　“吼!”当野猪看见弟弟的时候，立刻朝他冲过来。弟弟把肩膀上的网扔向野猪。

　　The boar that was running forward, got cut from the sharp net and his head split into two. Theyounger brother tied the boar onto his shoulders and headed for the castle.

　　正在奋力狂奔的野猪，冲进网内，脑袋被锐利的网缝割成了两半。弟弟把野猪紧紧地捆绑好扛在肩上朝城堡走去。

　　Meanwhile, the older brother that went in the opposite direction found a drinking house in theforest. "Alright, I will have a drink here and work up my courage." Just then, across from him, he saw his younger brother coming out carrying the boar. "My goodness, how did he." Thegreedy brother was boiling with rage.

　　同时，反方向的哥哥发现了森林里有间小房子。“好吧，我在这里喝点酒，壮壮胆。”就在这时，他看到弟弟从对面走了出来肩上还扛着野猪。“我的天哪，他是怎么做到的，”贪婪的哥哥顿时气不过了。

　　"Little brother, come on in over here. Since you have caught the boar, have a drink of wine andrest." Without suspecting anything, the little brother drank the wine.

　　“弟弟啊，快过来这里。既然你抓到了野猪，那就喝点酒休息一下吧。”弟弟毫无戒心开始喝酒。

　　"Big brother! Let's go to the castle and share this happiness." The little brother, being so tired, fell asleep after drinking the wine.

　　“哥哥!我们一起回城堡告诉大家这个好消息吧，”说着说着弟弟因为太累又喝了点酒便睡着了。

　　The older brother was jealous of his little brother for catching the boar. The older brotherdragged the sleeping younger brother and threw him below the bridge, where he died.

　　哥哥很嫉妒弟弟能抓住野猪。哥哥把睡着的弟弟拖出去，将他扔到桥下摔死了。

　　And pretending that he had caught the boar, he tied it onto his shoulders and went to the king.

　　他假装是自己抓住的野猪，把它扛在肩上，回去面见国王。

　　"You are truly a great young man. As I promised I will make you my son-in-law." The olderbrother became the king's son-in-law.

　　“你真是个了不起的年轻人。我答应过会将公主嫁给你。”就这样坏心眼的哥哥成了国王的女婿。

　　After a few years a shepherd was walking below the bridge when he saw a bone that was whiteas snow. "I will make a flute with that bone." The shepherd took the bone and made amagnificent flute. However, before the shepherd had a chance to play it, the flute started toplay on its own.

　　几年后，一个牧羊人路过桥下，他看到一块雪白的骨头。“我可以用那根骨头吹奏一曲，”牧羊人就用那根骨头，准备吹奏一曲。但是，牧羊人还没吹奏之前，骨头便开始唱了起来。

　　"Listen people, listen people. Listen to my song. Long time ago, my older brother killed me andthrew me under the bridge. Then he took the boar that I had caught and married the princess." The song caused pain to the hearts of the people.

　　“好奇怪的骨头，”牧羊人带着骨头去见国王。在国王面前，骨头又唱了起来。听完这首歌，国王派人到那座桥下不停地挖。果然发现了弟弟的骨头。

　　"Go and capture that man." The king ordered the capture of the older brother. "A brave youngman has died for no good reason!" The king mourned the death of the younger brother andburied his bones in a sunny place.

　　“去抓住那个坏人。”国王下令逮捕哥哥。“居然害死了这么一个勇敢的年轻人!”国王对弟弟深感惋惜并重新将他埋葬在一个阳光普照的地方。
