　　The Wind and The Sun

　　风和太阳

　　The wind and the sun decided to have a bet. The wind knew that the sun had no strength andbelieved that he could win. "I'm the best in the world.” "Mr. Wind, why don't you and I find outwho is the stronger one."

　　风和太阳决定打个赌。风知道太阳力量小，相信自己能赢。“我是世界上最厉害的。”“风先生，咱们为什么不比较下看谁最厉害呢。

　　Just then a traveler was walking by. "Why don't we find out who could first take off that man'sjacket.” The sun confidently suggested. "Fine."

　　就在这时，一个旅行家正好路过。太阳信心十足地说：“为什么咱们不试一下看谁能让那个人脱下外套。”“好的。”

　　The wind confidently, with all his strength began to blow. Just then the clear blue sky and thesun was no where to be seen and only the wind began to blow. The traveler tucked his jacket incloser and said, "Why is it so cold all of a sudden?” The stronger the wind blew, the travelerpulled his jacket closer and closer to him.

　　风满怀信心，用尽所有的力气开始吹。这时，湛蓝的天空与太阳都消失了，只有大风在呼呼地刮着。旅行家紧紧地裹住自己的外套：“为什么天突然这么冷?”风也吹得越来越强。说完，旅行者又拉了一把外套。

　　"Whew, I'm so cold where has the sun gone to? If this keeps up, I'm going to fly off.” Thetraveler stopped and tucked in his jacket even more.

　　“哎呀，冷死了，太阳去哪了?风再刮的话，我就被吹走了。”旅行家停下来，紧紧地裹着外套。

　　The sun arrived with a big smile on his face. "Now it is my turn." The sun beamed his warmsunlight. The exhausted wind stepped back.

　　就在这时，太阳露出微笑。“现在轮到我了。”太阳将温暖的阳光照在大地上。此时的风已经筋疲力尽了。

　　The traveler wiped his sweat and said, "Just a little while ago, the wind was blowing stronglyhow is it all of a sudden, the sun is shining down." The traveler took off his jacket and threw itdown.

　　旅行家擦了擦汗水说：“不久前，风还吹得很厉害呢，现在太阳又暖洋洋地照着。”旅行家说着便脱下了外套。

　　The sun gave a big smile and said, "Wind, there are something in his world that can't be doneby strength alone." The boastful wind was so embarrassed that he ran off.

　　太阳笑着说，“风，有的时候光靠蛮力是不行的。”一向狂傲的风此时尴尬不已，灰溜溜地跑了。
