　　But in the very first math class, everyone looked quite worried. After class, Teacher Rolin smiled and said, “Math this semester is difficult, isn’t it? Don’t worry. If you have any questions, just come ask me.”

　　可是大家上了第一节数学课，每个人的表情却都很发愁。下课后，Rolin老师笑了笑，“这学期的数学课很难吧?没关系，有什么问题都可以来问老师。”

　　Upon hearing this, Iris was the first to bring her textbook up to the teacher, and she had many questions. Jimmy and Junior came up right after that, and there was soon a long line.

　　可Rolin老师的视线在他们身上转了一圈，突然落到了沉默的Andrew身上：“Andrew，昨天你没有来问我问题，所以你肯定知道答案吧?”Andrew却红着脸说：“我不知道答案……”

　　Iris stared. “If you can’t solve the problem, why didn’t you ask about it yesterday?” Andrew’s face turned even redder.

　　“I was embarrassed. I thought if you knew I didn’t understand, that you would laugh at me.”

　　Iris瞪大了眼睛，“你既然不知道怎么回答，昨天为什么不问老师呢?”Andrew的脸更红了，“我不好意思问……我怕老师知道我不懂，会嘲笑我……”

　　Then Teacher Rolin really did laugh. “Andrew, why would I laugh? If you have a question, you must ask the teacher. Don’t be shy. Do not pretend you understand if you don’t. That’s the only thing worth laughing about. Studying is about solving problems. Only by asking questions will you be able to keep learning. Understand?”

　　Rolin老师大笑，“Andrew，老师怎么可能会嘲笑你呢?有问题一定要及时问老师，不要害羞。千万不要不懂装懂，那样才会闹笑话。学习的过程就是解决一个又一个的问题，只有常问为什么，才能学得更多，明白了吗?”

　　Andrew nodded and admitted, “Teacher Rolin, I can’t solve this problem. Can you teach me?” Teacher Rolin smiled and helped Andrew with it.

　　Andrew点点头，诚实地说：“Rolin老师，这道题我不会，你能教教我吗?”Rolin老师微笑着解答了。
