　　Andrew, Victor and Junior all signed up for the sprint, and the other classmates all cheered them on.

　　The sprint began. Teacher Rolin blew the whistle, and Junior was the first to react. He left Victor and Andrew far behind. They saw that Junior was nearly to the finish line, and would surely win the medal, but just at this time, he tripped on something, fell, and hurt his leg!

　　短跑比赛开始了。Rolin老师哨声一响，Junior便第一个冲了出去，将Victor和Andrew远远甩在了后面。眼看Junior就要跑到终点，拿到冠军了，就在这时，Junior却突然被脚下的东西绊倒，摔伤了腿。

　　Teacher Rolin immediately stopped the competition, and all of Junior’s classmates ran to see what had happened. He had tripped on a soda can! But why would there be a soda can in the forest?

　　Rolin老师急忙暂停了比赛，小伙伴们着急地上前查看。原来绊倒Junior的是一个易拉罐。可是森林里怎么会出现易拉罐呢?

　　Pandora looked in the river, and saw that it was full of plastic bottles, bags and other trash. Teacher Rolin frowned and said, “There’s so much trash in the river because people litter, and it’s only getting worse.”

　　Pandora往河里一看，只见河里也飘着塑料瓶，塑料袋和其他垃圾。Rolin老师皱了皱眉，“因为有人乱扔垃圾，森林里的污染太严重了!”

　　Everyone looked at the beautiful forest, and the piles of trash, and felt very sad. Andrew said, “This forest belongs to everyone. We need to protect the environment together.” His classmates all nodded and said, “We’ll help clean up the trash!”

　　大家看着美丽的森林里堆满垃圾，都心痛不已。Andrew说，“森林是大家的，我们要一起保护环境。”小伙伴们纷纷点头，“我们来清理掉这些垃圾吧!”

　　They each got a trash bag and bent down to pick up the soda cans and cardboard boxes on the ground. Andrew found a net and gathered the plastic bottles and bags floating on the river. Victor climbed a tree and pulled down the kites and balloons stuck in it. Very quickly, all the trash had been cleared, and the forest was beautiful and clean again.

　　说着，大家找来垃圾袋，弯腰捡起了草地上的易拉罐和纸盒;Andrew找来一个网，捞起了河面上的塑料瓶和塑料袋;Victor爬上树，把挂在树枝上的风筝和气球摘了下来。很快，所有的垃圾都清理干净，森林又恢复了美丽。

　　Iris was worried, though. She said, “We cleaned the forest today, but what if someone litters again tomorrow?” Teacher Rolin smiled and said, “Well, let’s make a plan to protect the forest! Every weekend, we will come out and clean up the trash to protect the environment.” Everyone agreed.

　　Iris担心地说：“今天我们清理了森林，要是明天又有人乱扔垃圾怎么办?”Rolin老师笑道：“既然这样，我们成立一个保护森林计划吧!每个周末大家都一起来清理垃圾，保护环境!”大家纷纷点头。
