　　It all began a month ago. One day, Jimmy gave Iris a slice of cake that his mother made. Iris really loved cake, so she was very happy.

　　事情要从一个月前说起。有一天，Jimmy送了Iris一块奶油蛋糕，是Jimmy的妈妈亲手做的。Iris特别爱吃蛋糕，她非常开心。

　　Because he knew Iris liked cake, he brought her a piece every day. Sometimes it was strawberry flavored, other times it was chocolate. After some time, Iris got used to this and would wait for Jimmy to bring her a slice of cake each day.

　　But today, Jimmy showed up empty-handed. He had no cake for Iris. Without her cake, she was very disappointed, and got upset with Jimmy. Jimmy felt wronged, and avoided Iris the entire day.

　　可是今天，Jimmy却空手而来，并没有给Iris带蛋糕。Iris突然吃不到蛋糕了，她非常失望，忍不住和Jimmy吵了一架。Jimmy很委屈，一整天也没有理睬Iris。

　　On the road after class, Iris discovered that Teacher Rolin was going to Jimmy’s house, so she followed her. As it turns out, Jimmy’s mom was sick, so she didn’t bake a cake that day.

　　放学的路上，Iris发现Rolin老师去了Jimmy的家里，她很好奇，于是跟着Rolin老师一起去了。原来Jimmy的妈妈病倒了，所以今天才没有做蛋糕。

　　Teacher Rolin said to Iris, “Jimmy shares his cake with you every day, but because you don’t have cake today, you blame Jimmy. That’s not right. Whether you have cake tomorrow or not, you should still be thankful.”

　　Rolin老师对Iris说：“Jimmy每天都愿意跟你分享美味，可是你却因为今天没有蛋糕吃了，就责怪Jimmy。这样是不对的。不管明天有没有蛋糕，你都要学会感恩。”

　　After learning the truth of the matter, Iris felt very ashamed. She picked a bouquet of beautiful flowers from the forest, and brought them to Jimmy’s mother. Jimmy was very surprised, and shyly said, “thank you.”

　　得知真相的Iris非常羞愧。她从森林里采了一束美丽的花，放在了Jimmy妈妈的床头。Jimmy非常惊讶，红着脸说“谢谢你。”

　　Iris shook her head and said, “No. I should thank you. Thanks to your mom for baking a cake every day, and thank you for sharing it with me. I shouldn’t have gotten angry. I’m sorry!”

　　Iris却摇摇头，“该说谢谢的是我。谢谢你妈妈每天辛苦做蛋糕，谢谢你每天跟我分享，我不应该发脾气，对不起!”

　　And just like that, Iris and Jimmy were friends again.

　　就这样，Iris和Jimmy和好了。
