之前高中英语组预测过，此次苏州零模最后一篇阅读会超长（大概1000多字），6道题目。有同学说，看到长阅读就发抖，高中英语组老师最近都在研究长阅读，发现其中有非常多的奥妙，但关键是同学们的方法要对，心态要淡定。下面由龚露老师示范，长篇阅读怎么来做。

首先，我们来解决第一个问题，先读文章还是先看题目。这篇文章是针对绝大部分学生而言的。学过雅思，托福，ＳＡＴ，目前英语成绩稳定在１０５或者以上的学霸，可以不看此文。

如果我们是正常的学生，梳理过模块１－１１，并且词汇量一般。平时做题一般都来不及，写作经常是仓促完成。苏州新东方高中英语组绝大部分老师会推荐：果断“先题后文”！这个我们在不同的场合都强调过。步骤大概如下：

（１） 先确定题目类型，细节题、推断题先画定位词，主旨题最后做！

（２） 带着定位词读文章

读文章务必凌波微步，以意群为单位阅读，读完之后总结概括自己刚刚读了什么，而非一股脑儿读到最后却不知刚刚读了哪些东西。

（３） 明确题目所问，认真查清定位词所在当句和ＡＢＣＤ四个选项所存在的原文重现或者同义替换

这里龚露要提醒各位，确定正确答案立马走人，不要拖泥带水。如果你犹豫不决，只能说明一点，你词汇不行或者你分析句子的能力有问题！

（４） 仔细根据全文感情线和逻辑来斟酌自己不会的选项　

下面，笔者以2015年盐城市高三期中考试D篇为例，为大家演示这四步怎么走的。 

Dear Baby,

P1: As I am writing this to you, you are safely growing in your mother’s womb, getting a little bigger and stronger by the day. You are not due to this world until the first week of January, I’ve been told, but I have to admit, I have been thinking a lot about you lately. I don’t know if you’re a little girl or a little boy. Nobody knows actually except for the doctors. See, your Mom has chosen not to know, so you will be a surprise to everyone, and I like it that way. You’ve got a fine mother. I don’t know her that well, having met her only twice, but she impressed me with her personality and her qualities. Needless to say, I like her a lot. On the other hand, I know your father quite well: he’s my son. And I can tell you right now, he has no idea of the responsibilities that are going to fall upon his shoulders, the very minute we hear your first cry. But he’ll manage, just like I did, just like my father and his father before him did.

P2: As impatient as I am for you to join the large family, I am also worried. The thought crossed my mind that something could go wrong with you or your Mom. You know, the kind of feeling one experiences before boarding an airplane. We know everything will be fine in the end, but we can’t help thinking about it anyway. But so far, you’re both doing just fine. Isn’t an ultrasound (超声波) the greatest thing? Too bad we can’t just look at yours for now!

P3: What worries me too is your future. This world you’re coming into is not human friendly. Of course, we all want the best possible for you, but we live in troubled times and I don’t foresee your life being so easy, wishing of course I am wrong. I am the first generation in our family who hasn’t been called to go to war in over a hundred years. Your Dad is the second generation. My dearest wish for you is that you will be part of the third generation.

P4: The irony is that, as time progresses, humanity should learn from experiences and mistakes, but as our life is made easier all the time with new technology, I get the notion that somehow, we are going backwards. One would think that with such powerful means as the Internet, for example, communication between people as well as education in general would improve. Is it the case? I’m not sure. Anyway, we’ll have plenty of time later to discuss this as you grow up and learn. Because you don’t know it yet, but you and I will talk a lot, provided I am around for some time.

P5:You’re coming to this world with a lot of pluses on your side. S1：You will be born into a close knit, loving family, and even though it can be overbearing sometimes, this alone, Child, is priceless! S2: Both your parents are good providers, so you will probably always have what you need until you fly off the nest. S3: Both of them work in the medical field, so your health and growth will be carefully watched. S4: Both sets of your grandparents are alive and reasonably well, so you can be sure they’ll all stand in everybody’s and each other’s way just to catch a glimpse of you.

P6:But in the end, your life will be yours, and your decisions and choices will determine which direction you want to go. Most likely, you will be baptized (洗礼) and that’s where we’ll draw the line. You will be left to make your own decisions as you grow up and discover the world, but you’ll never be alone to do so, you can always rely on any of us for advice and help if you so wish. We’ll be there for you.

第一步，看题目类型，划定位词 

划定位词的三原则高中英语组老师都要强调过5万次了，再次我迅速飘过。

(1) 时间，大写字母优先 

(2) 独特的名词优先划于独特的动词优先划于独特的形容词和副词

(3) 文章主题词和常用词不能划作定位词 

这么走下来，各题的定位词都已经划出。

第二步，带着定位词读文章

第66题很好搞定，father 在原文第一段On the other hand 后面有father，于是认真阅读当句。

第三步，明确题目所问，认真查清定位词所在当句和Ａ、Ｂ、Ｃ、Ｄ四个选项所存在的原文重现或者同义替换

题目问的是我们可以得知孩子的父亲什么消息，通过定位词所在的当句和下一句。我们知道，孩子父亲根本不知道落在他肩上的担子有多重（he has no idea of the responsibilities that are going to fall upon his shoulders）。读到这里，就不难发现B选项中的he doesn’t know与he had no idea of 是同义替换的。what it takes to be a father与responsibilities that are going to fall upon his shoulders 同义替换了。 

67题更好搞定，题目问的是：作者为什么要提及上飞机这件事。定位词在的当句说，这种感觉就像你登飞机的这种感觉You know, the kind of feeling one experiences before boarding an airplane. 那我们禁不住要问，这种感觉是哪种感觉呢？前文提到了1种感觉，一种是worried, 具体化下来其实是“你和你妈妈会发生什么差错”(something could go wrong with you and your mom),也就是说祖父在担心未出生的孩子和他妈妈会出现什么差错，这是对他们母子的一种担忧。67题唯独C选项在说人话，实际上，worried与nervous 是词汇层面的同义替换。

68题是个猜句子含义的题，首先我们要明确，当句是什么意思，“You’re coming to this world with a lot of pluses on your side”，关键不要死在一个词手里，就是plus , plus 做介词表示加。这里做名词，大伙儿就呆住了，啥意思呢？其实，也不难理解，i-phone 6不是出了个iphone 6 plus 吗？其实说白了就是让用户享受额外大屏服务，对了！这里的plus做名词就表示附加值，或者附加优势。 放在这里指的是这个小朋友来到这个世上会享受很多的附加优势。

但是猜句子题不能单凭你对当句的理解而意淫答案。 你必须严格找回至少当句的上下2句，明白这一坨意群在说什么。具体到我们的68题，因为被猜句是首句，即我们没有上句，但是下句的3句话分别在说，S1： 你出生在一个非常友爱的家庭里 S2： 你爸妈都是靠谱的养家糊口家长 S3: 你爸妈都在医疗行业工作，所以会对你身体的照顾专业又细致！S4： 你祖父母都健在，可以随时呵护陪伴你。所以，整个4句话的意群在说：“熊孩，你啊，相比你的同龄人，无论是物质上，身体上，还是精神上的呵护都太完整了。相比别的孩子，你具有更多的成长优势。68题只有D选项在说人话，贴近成长优势这个意思。其中，同学们，笔者偷偷告诉你，这里的plus与advantage他们2个是词汇层面的同义替换的！ 

69题根据internet 与communication 我们可以定回原文，找到第四段第二句，一读，发现作者在说，大家以为因特网的发明会使人与人的沟通更加简单，但事实真的是这样吗？Is it the case? 问句的出现让我们立马想到问号三大功能中的一大：“表否定”。所以，作者并不认为因特网会使人与人的沟通变得更加简单。A 选项在说：“因特网对于人与人的沟通改善其实很少有帮助。” 写到此，笔者大呼，这个同义替换太巧秒了！竟然Little这个否定词都可以与问号形成同义替换，出题者果然高明！答案无需质疑，选A。 

70题是文章主旨题，放最后做。主旨题最常用的方法是串线法，即你要把你所读的意思串成一个整体。整个文章在讲祖父对未出生孙儿的肺腑之言及其寄予的殷切期待，字里行间就透露出祖父对孙儿的殷殷之爱，怎么会和A里面的stubborn 和D选项里的narrow-minded这种贬义词挂上钩？所以，我们光荣排除A和D。B选项里面的worry-free是在说祖父一点都不担心，但是我们对67题有印象的人会知道，祖父其实很担心母儿两，与原文相矛盾。只能选C，有人问，那个humorous 怎么冒出来了。同学，你看最后落款啊，祖父自我调侃说：祖父（就是那个又丑又疯狂的糟老头啦，哈哈），可知祖父属于老顽童一个，比较humorous. 

（４） 仔细根据全文感情线和逻辑来斟酌自己不会的选项　

题目非常简单，无需进行第4步处理。

总而言之，孩子们，长阅读真心没有必要每句话都读，你只需要有定位和同义替换意识，并且能够保持淡定，冷静下来分析句子基本成分和总结意群意思，一定没有问题，高中英语组的每一位老师都相信大家在期末考试中有出色的表现！
