口语第一题：

1. Which of the following Art classes would you be more interested in taking? Wood Sculpture, Painting or Photography?

课程三选一，都是艺术课，有些同学会想到一些例如鉴赏力，休息，之类的理由，其实我们要选一个，还是要找各自的特点，这样来进行对比。

• 木雕，

更有质感，立体感，The work is 3 dimensional which looks more gorgeous. 

需要力道的精确把握，难度很大，更有成就感，Engraving requires accurate control of force. 

• 绘画，

可以充分发挥想象力，一些图形是无法用其它两种艺术手法表现的，比如抽象画，所以说绘画能更准确地表达画家的意图。Painting enables people to express meaning and feeling more accurately. Some ideas can be shown in an abstract way in painting.

• 摄影

更直接得反应现实的情况，Some situations can be more directly reflected by photos. 

对照相机感兴趣，Some people are quite into SLR cameras. So they like photography.  

2. Describe a person that you look up to as a role model. Explain how this person influenced your life. Include details and examples to support your response.

你崇拜的人，可以直接套用课上讲的老师题，

The teacher I admire most is my supervisor of university. She taught me Approaches to Teaching and Learning. I admire her for two reasons.

First of all, she is so knowledgeable. She is an expert in the field of English Education. What’s more, her language ability is incomparably good. She speaks 4 different languages: English, Turkish, Spanish and French.

Secondly, she is responsible and helpful. She was my supervisor for dissertation. We had regular meeting every week and she recommended me many books which were quite useful for my dissertation.

For the two reasons listed above, I think she is one of the best teachers I have ever met.

3. If your university plans to improve the life of students by one of the following methods, which do you prefer?(1) build a new cafeteria; (2) build a new indoor swimming pool; (3) make improvements in dormitories.

课外活动建议，

• 开餐厅，

可以去自己的餐厅吃饭，这样生活在吃饭方面就有了提升，They can eat in their own cafeteria so their diet can be largely improved. They can get sufficient nutrition. 

如果在热闹地段，运营顺利，可以赚很多钱，If the restaurant runs well, students can make a lot of money. So their lives become better. 

• 游泳池

可以经常去游泳，锻炼身体，They can go swimming frequently to become fitter

• 宿舍改进

这一点其实跟学生的相关性最为明显，

更好的宿舍配置可以让学生更好地休息，Better furnished dormitory can make students relax better. 

还可以说另外两项的缺点，比如投入都比较大，还有风险，如果运营不顺，就会有亏损，Opening restaurants or swimming pool needs initial investments. There is a risk of losing money.  

4. Computer technology has influenced student’s study life in various ways. Give examples to illustrate the advantage that a computer helps in your study life.

解析：这道题可以从效率，方便，减压等方面去想，如果有自己的想法是更好的，当然说明方式已经被限定就是举例子，一定要看清题目要求

比如从效率方面说

Sample：Computer technology makes my study life more efficient. In the past, in order to refer to some materials or books, I must go to the library or book store to get the books I wanted. In order to find those books, I have to check out the bookshelves one by one. Sometimes it turns out that there weren’t any. You could imagine how bummed I would get. But nowadays, I just input the name of the book I want in the searching box on computer screen. All the information I needed about the book will rush to me in 1 second. This is time-saving and effort-saving. 

5. Describe an event or celebration you attend recently。why people have a good time together？

解析：这是一道很典型的事件题，属于experience，答题要点就是将起因经过结果讲清楚，注意时态，而且事件题要拿高分一定与注意细节的描述，不能一味地用大词和模糊词

Sample：Days ago, I went on a picnic with my students to celebrate the end of our exams. I really enjoyed the time we spent together. It is more like a field party, cuz everybody was really active and passionate, talking happily and singing loudly. All of us had already gotten rid of the burden of study and exam, having nothing to worry about. So we played hard. I still remember clearly that we shook the champagne and spray it all over us , with the foam all over us. We laughed and screamed loudly, putting all the annoyance and trouble behind us.  

6. Which of the following brings you more pleasure? Spend time with friends, study by yourself or doing sports? Explain why in details.

解析：这是一道三选一题目，可以只从一个方面入手，比如只选择了一项，就可以阐述为什么要选择这个，不必说其他两项，如果觉得这点说不满45s，那么可以说一下其他两个为什么不选，但是这样风险较大，容易导致话题展开不过深入和细节，根据自己的思路和语速来确定

Sample：I would get more fun when I study by myself , cuz I am kind of introverted. Spending time with others will make me uneasy. So most of time I will choose to stay alone. I figure that it is a perfect time for me to come up with some fascinating ideas and thoughts while studying by myself, sparking new trains of thoughts when I am in the middle of a book, or getting a precious theory from a documentary film. These are things i can’t achieve in the conversation with others or doing sports. Hanging out with others can only relax me. But the unexpected ideas coming up from my mind will bring me more fun.

这道题目其实是我们课上讲过的题目，这里推荐大家选择在团队里活动，这和我们之前补充的很多语料很相似，这里笔者给各位考生一些思路。

多人一起，活动不无聊：Chatting/Not boring 遇到困难可以互相鼓励：Encouraging

2. Do you think it is important to study the history from ancestors?

这道题目需要我们运用一下头脑风暴了，从祖先那边学习历史有什么好处呢？其实真的想一下，也能够很快想到这么几点，这里笔者和大家分享一下自己的想法：

1.避免相同错误再发生：The main reason is that studying history provides a good way to take lessons from the past. Therefore, we can avoid making the same mistakes again.

2.可以帮助我们更好的做决定：knowing the past will help us make better decisions in the future. Because learning history is not only about memorizing facts and statistics but also about analyzing people and society in the past, which is important for us to think deeply and better understand the world of our time.

3. Some students prefer to study for only one long time during a week. Others students prefer to study for several short times during a week. Which way do you prefer and why? Use specific reasons and examples to support your choice.

这道题目从十大黄金原则的角度去思考，其实能够想到不少，这里笔者给大家分享一下自己的想法。

同意分成几个时间段：

1.效率原则：分成几个时间段更加高效：students will feel very tired if they study for very long period of time, because they are already in a great pressure. As a result, their study efficiency could become very low.

2.健康兴趣原则：可以有更多的时间做他们自己的事情，比如锻炼身体，课外活动： if the students study a very short time each day, they will have enough time to exercise and do some extracurricular activities.

4. Some students prefer to have an early class schedule with classes in the morning, others prefer to have a late class schedule so they can go to classes in the afternoon. Which one do you prefer? Explain why.

I prefer to have an early class schedule in the morning due to the reasons that 

理由1 早上的思路非常清晰，头脑的反应很快，因此效率会很高，将课程放在早上，可以有效学习。

First of all, we can achieve high efficiency due to our clearing thinking and quick reaction in the morning. As a result, if we put classes in the morning, we can effectively take in the knowledge that we learn. 

理由2 下午往往会因为早上的疲劳而感到昏沉，学习效果并不理想；并且上午的课程结束后，下午可以进行复习或者安排其他事情。

In the afternoon, people often feel dizzy because of the tiredness through morning, so the effect of learning in the afternoon cannot be ideal; moreover, after we finish the class in the morning, we can arrange for the lesson reviewing or other activities. 

5. Some students prefer to go to universities or colleges in their hometown. Others prefer to go to universities or colleges in new cities or towns. Which do you prefer and why? Include details and examples in your explanation.

I prefer to go to college in a new city or town.

理由1 在新的城市上学可以拓宽自己的眼界，结交新的朋友，发现新的资源，使得自己的经历更丰富。我自己就是在不同的城市上了大学，从此人生有了新的高度。

If we can go to a new city for college, we can expand our horizons, make new friends and find new resources so as to enrich our experiences. I myself chose to go to the college in a different city and happy to find that I had reached a new stage in life. 

理由2 如果想成为一个有开拓精神的人，要有意识地去跳出自己的安全区，去不断尝试不同的事物，同时培养自己的独立性。

If we want to become a person with pioneering spirits, we should jump out of our comfort zone with intention, to try different things and to nurture our sense of independence. 

6. If you have time, would you choose to learn to play a new musical instrument or learn to play a new sport?

If I have time, I would choose to learn a new sport.

理由1 不管是作为学生还是工作人士，包括我在内现在许许多多的人都处于亚健康的状态，学习一项新的运动，可以增加活动量，使得身体健康。

No matter we are students or workers, people now, including myself, are under the sub-healthy condition. Learning a new sport, will add our activity volume to make us healthy.

理由2. 学习运动，可以让我们测试自己的极限，并且有更多的突破，从而锻炼我们的意志。

Learning sports can give us a chance to test our limits and to make breakthroughs, so as to strengthen our minds.
