Determination is a positive attitude which involves persevering with a goal in spite of various obstacles. As the saying goes, “winners never quit and quitters never win.” With the help of determination, we can accomplish the goals we set no matter what difficulties we may encounter.

First of all, determination is the strength of mind to carry out our goals and transform them into reality. To be specific, it is the driving force within us, enabling us to focus on our goals and to pursue them with vigor until their realization. With resolution, for example, an overweight person is bound to lose weight if he or she wants to. Secondly, determination brings us courage and confidence. As we all know, courage and confidence are indispensable for overcoming all kinds of adversities in our life. We need determination just like we need air to survive.

In conclusion, determination is vital to us since it is a deciding factor between success and failure. We should build up our determination constantly to pursue our goals in good condition as well as in bad condition.
