看到“洗”这个字，大家第一反应一定是wash。所以“洗衣服”在英语里就是Wash clothes吗?Emmmm不能说完全错误，我们这么说老外也一定听得懂。

　　不过更地道的说法应该是do the laundry，一般指去洗衣房洗衣服，用洗衣机洗衣服。

　　Laundry:

　　the dirty clothes and sheets that need to be, are being, or have been washed

　　待洗(或正在洗滌、洗完)的衣物

　　例句：

　　I've got to do my laundry.

　　我要去洗衣服了。

　　在表示待洗衣物时，它是不可数名词。

　　另外，laundry还可以做可数名词，表示洗衣房、洗衣店。

　　a business that washes clothes, sheets, etc. for customers

　　如果你硬要说wash my clothes，也没有错，只是wash强调的是“手洗”、“冲洗”。

　　另外大家要注意的是：虽然洗碗机是dishwasher，但是洗碗最好说成do the dishes，而不是wash dishes。

　　洗澡也不是wash my body，而是take a shower(淋浴)。
