A new website which claims it can automatically detect your age from a photo launched yesterday and it's already gone viral.

　　How Old, which gathered 35,000 users in a matter of hours, allows people to upload photos of themselves or their friends, and then analyses their facial structure to determine how old the person might be - with varied results.

　　网站“你多大”几小时就聚集了3万5000名用户，它允许人们上传自己或是朋友的照片，然后网站会分析他们的脸部结构，从而判断那个人大概几岁——结果是多样的。

　　We put the software to the test, with volunteers of all ages and genders, and while there were a few glaring inconsistencies, we were all surprised by how often it calculated the right age within a three-year error margin.

　　我们找了不同年龄和性别的志愿者用这个软件进行测试，虽然有些明显的矛盾，但是我们都很惊讶——它算出来的正确年龄只有3岁范围的误差。

　　According to Microsoft, who came up with the concept, the system works by analysing 27 points on the face.

　　These 'landmarks' are a series of specifically detailed points on a face; features including the pupils, canthus or nose - which change gradually as we age.
