What do you see as the most difficult task in being a manager?

　　作为管理者，你认为最困难的工作是什么?

　　When I have to let people go, who have madecontributions and have been loyal to the company over the years, due to downsizing or another reason that is beyond their or my control.

　　当我因为裁员或是一些当事人和我都无能为力的原因，不得不解雇长期以来忠于公司并做出贡献的员工时，就感到很困难。

　　Especially when I know their family members and that they may face some financial hardship at least for a short period of time.

　　特别是当我认识到那些员工的家人，知道他们至少短期内在经济上会有困难的时候。

　　After 10 years of management, my stomach still sinks when I have to announce layoffs to my subordinates.

　　做了10年的管理者，至今，当我必须通知下属被解雇时，我仍然会觉得心情沉重。
