stick with somebody / something

　　To stay close to somebody so that they can help you. 在这里有种“不离不弃”的感觉，例如：

　　Stick with me and I'll make you a millionaire!

　　还有一个常用的意思是to continue with something or continue doing something，例如：

　　They decided to stick with their original plan.

　　knock somebody up

　　在美语里面，这个短语表示to make a woman pregnant. 不过在英式英文里面，它的意思是to wake somebody by knocking on their door，就是“敲门叫人起床”。要分清使用的场合，别用错哦。

　　overnight bag

　　A bag containing the things needed for a night spent away from home. 例如：

　　She quickly stuffed clothes into an overnight bag.

　　sit tight

　　To stay where you are rather than moving away or changing position. “原地不动”，例如：

　　We sat tight and waited to be rescued.

　　它还有个比喻义，表示to stay in the same situation, without changing your mind or taking any action，“按兵不动，待机行事”，例如：

　　Shareholders are being advised to sit tight until the crisis passes.
