　　现在我们继续来看第二封邮件：就我方所收到的文件中存在的偏差/错误所作出的回应。这封邮件较上一封稍长一些，表达形式丰富多样，但句子却并不冗长复杂，对各位来说是一篇很好的范例。

　　Dear Mr Blue,

　　We have received the A’s comments on the document and we have also discussed with A regarding various translation comments on the financials before. However, as we found in the full financial report we received last Friday, there are certain inconsistencies between the translation of financial statements for different years and even inconsistencies within one document. Attached is the mark-up for 2018 Interim Report and 2015 financials only, which is only for illustrative purposes and we only marked the obvious mistakes (but you may find there are plenty).

　　We as the counsel usually do not verify the translation of financials but the inconsistencies are just hard to be unnoticed and we are only doing this for the perfection of the documents. For now if there is any inconsistency for translation of certain item, we have chosen one translation in the document and ensured the translation for the same item in the document is consistent. Of course we can leave the full translation of the financial statement as it is if you wish us not to make any further comments.

　　正文第一段第二行regarding various translation comments中的regarding指的是“关于，至于”，整个短语是“关于不同的翻译的意见”。这个词组一般用于引出邮件中的所述事项，即这封邮件的内容将围绕“对于翻译的意见”这一事项展开。regarding可以替换为in regards to/in relation to或是as regards。

　　书写人继续在邮件中表明，“在不同年份的甚至是单独年份的财务报表中有多处明显的不一致”。我们回到文中看，财务报表用了两种不同的表达：

　　financial report指财务报告;financial statement指整个financial report中具体的财务报表(如资产负债表、利润表等)

　　不一致：inconsistencies(复数)，单数为形式：inconsistency。即“文件中出现了许多相互不一致之处”。

　　为了让收件人对此有更直观的感受，书写人表示，“在附件中有对2018 Interim Report and 2015 financials部分文件的markup”。

　　Interim Report “中期报告”，financials是“财务数据”的总称。

　　而这些markup都是for illustrative purposes“用于说明的目的”的，意思是在书写人收到的报表中都有错误，他仅更正一部分用于举例说明事实情况。For commercial purposes(为了商业目的)，for agricultural purposes(为农业生产目的)。Purposes用复数。

　　其中：

　　illustrative“说明性的，解说性的”，除了邮件中的for illustrative purposes还可以有多个常见搭配：

　　illustrative examples：例证;

　　illustrative cases：案列。

　　邮件正文第二段中We as agency usually do not verify the translation，意为“我们作为顾问通常不校对翻译”，其中verify通常表达“校对，核查”，同时也有“验证”的意思：

　　I verified the source from which I had that information.

　　我核实了我获知那条信息的来源。

　　The government has not verified any of those reports.

　　政府尚未证实那些报道中的任何一个。

　　Are hard to be unnoticed表达所述的问题“很难不被注意到”，即“显而易见的”。

　　接下来邮件在说，“针对同一个会计科目的不同翻译我们必须选择其中一种以保证在最终的文件中他们是一致的。”这里说到“同一科目”出现了the same item，紧跟其后的“一致”书写人则使用了consistent。consistent和上面说到的“inconsistent”是反义，表示“相同的、一致的”。
