　　1基本资料

　　巴黎南大学(Université Paris-Sud)，原名巴黎第十一大学(Université Paris XI)，是位于法国法兰西岛大区的一所综合型国立大学，前身为巴黎大学理学院，五月风暴发生数年后独立建校，是法国久负盛名的高等学府之一，也是欧洲大陆的主要科研中心之一。学校在巴黎周边有5个校区，大部分教学科研机构位于Orsay校区。

　　历史沿革

　　第二次世界大战结束后，核物理和化学的快速发展意味着研究需要更多、更强大的加速器，原有的校园面积已经无法满足研究需要。巴黎大学、巴黎高等师范学院和法兰西学院在巴黎南郊的奥赛寻找新的校园。1954年10月，国家收购了Launay公园约160公顷土地用作扩建。1955年开始，新校区开始建设，首先建成的是核物理研究所和线性加速器实验室。

　　1957年，属于法兰西学院的回旋加速器被安置在Orsay校园。1958年五月风暴发生后，巴黎大学理学院的部分教学与研究活动被转移到Orsay校园，学生数量的快速增长导致了Orsay研究中心在1965年独立成为一所教学研究机构。

　　1970年1月1日，巴黎第十一大学正式成立，管辖Orsay(奥赛)中心校园、Châtenay-Malabry(莎特耐-玛拉布里)校园、Sceaux(索镇)校园、Cachan(卡尚)校园和Kremlin-Bicêtre(克郎兰-比塞特)校园。

　　1970年建校后，因为新的实验室、与法国国家科学研究院、巴黎第六大学相关的研究机构的建设、奥赛校园开始向穆隆方向扩张。随着法国国立核科学技术学院、法国国家科学研究院各实验室、巴黎综合理工学院、巴黎高等商学院等学校和研究机构纷纷迁往这一区域，Chevreuse河谷-Orsay地区已经成为欧洲最重要且最知名的科研中心之一。
