吉林新东方国外考试部朱博老师讲解大热动画电影《怪物大学》中地道实用的口语表达，跟老师一起学起来吧~

 　如果没看过《怪物公司》(Monsters, Inc.)，还真的挺难理解里面怪兽的理想，尤其是那首校歌：“Monsters University, we give our heart to you. Wherever children are dreaming, we’ll bring them nightmares, too. Oh, Monsters University, Alma Mater hail to you.”(alma mater 母校)

　　不过whatever啦，重点是学口语，let’s get started!

　　take it easy on somebody

　　To tell somebody to treat a person in a gentle way. 就是“温柔地对待某人”。也可以说成go easy on somebody。例如：Go easy on her—she’s having a really hard time right now. 如果这个短语后面接的不是人，而是东西，那么可以理解为“不要过多使用某物”，比如：Go easy on the sugar!

　　take something hard

　　这个短语表示to be very upset by something，所以剧中的“输了也别哭鼻子”可以说成“Don’t take the loss too hard.”再比如：He took his wife’s death very hard.

　　有个类似的表达，叫做take something to heart，它表示to be very upset by something that somebody says or does，跟咱们总说的“别往心里去”一个意思。例如：Don’t take what he says to heart.

　　It’s been tampered with.

　　好像有人动了手脚。

　　tamper with something = to make changes to something without permission, especially in order to damage it. 也就是“瞎搞，损坏，篡改”。

　　例如：Someone had obviously tampered with the brakes of my car.
