dump somebody/something on somebody
To get rid of somebody/ something or leave them for somebody else to deal with.
一般来讲就是把棘手的事情或者难搞的人扔给另外的人处理。例如：
He’s got no right to keep dumping his problems on me.
That makes two of us.
这句话的意思就是：I am in the same position or I agree with you. 有的时候等于me too，有的时候等于me neither。或者I completely agree. 根据语境，翻译成相应的意思。有的场合，不只两个人的情况，我们也会听到That makes three of us. 之类的表达。
pitch in (with sb./ sth.)
这个短语有种“搭把手”的感觉，英文来解释，就是to join in and help with an activity, by doing some of the work or by giving money, advice, etc. 比如：
Local companies pitched in with building materials and labor.
我们也会看到pitch sth. in这样的用法，表示“出钱帮忙”，to give a particular amount of money in order to help with sth. 例如：
We all pitched in $10 to buy her a gift.
