What it's about: As Christmas in England approaches, over a dozen people (including the Prime Minister) explore what it means to find love.
Why it's a Christmas classic: For many people, Christmas is about being with the people you love. Amidst Love Actually's snowy English streets and tinkling Christmas carols is a burning desire to find out what love truly means to each of its characters. Almost everyone can identify a bit of themselves in each of these characters—from Colin, who is constantly rejected by women, to Sarah, who pines for a fellow office employee.

Why it's a Christmas classic: Elves, Santa Claus, and holiday cheer—this comedy is a modern Christmas classic if there ever was one. If you want to know the true meaning of the phrase “Christmas spirit,” this movie has it in spades.

What it's about: Rudolph isn't like other reindeer. For one thing, he has a glowing red nose. This causes him to be ostracized by his fellow reindeer, and he goes on a journey with Hermey, an elf who actually wants to become a dentist. Along the way they visit a place called the Island of Misfit Toys, and they battle the Abominable Snowman.
Why it's a Christmas classic: This stop-motion picture is the Christmas classic. It's a movie that nearly every American remembers seeing—and loving—as a kid. Even if you've only heard the song by the same name, Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer is guaranteed to please.

What it's about: When Kevin McCallister's family goes to Paris for their Christmas vacation, they forget one thing: Kevin. When Kevin finds himself all alone, he's ecstatic at first... until a pair of burglars target his house. He then has to fend them off with a set of ingenious booby traps.
Why it's a Christmas classic: For many people, Christmas is about being with family. While Kevin spends most of the movie thousands of miles away from his own family, he comes to realize how much he truly cares about them. This is a great, lighthearted holiday comedy with plenty of clever visual gags.
